State Regulations


For import into Maryland, goats need:

1. Health certificate signed by a licensed, accredited veterinarian within 30 days prior to shipment. Certificate must state that the goats are free from any evidence of an infectious, parasitic or transmissible disease and have not recently been exposed to the same.
A copy of the health certificate needs to be forwarded to the State Veterinarian's office. The Maryland State vet is:

2. Brucellosis test (within 30 days) and Tuberculosis test within 60 days.

The Maryland state regulations don't go into detail about identification for goats, so you may wish to contact the state vet if you need more details 410–841–5810.
